There is no sincerer love than the love of food.
-George Bernard Shaw
Mr. Shaw had it right: the love of food is pure, touching on the most basic of human experiences. At Veranda on Highland, our love of food is apparent in every attended detail, in the aromas and flavors that pair with the soft, inviting light to create a feast for the senses.
Our approach is simple. Fresh ingredients. Locally grown. Inventive combinations that entice the sublime from the ordinary. The food itself is complemented with gracious service by people who understand that your meal is an experience to savor.
Today, there are two new artists working their craft at Veranda on Highland. Tom Robey and Stan Reynolds—both seasoned veterans of Commander’s Palace. You will revel in Tom’s menu, with flavors that marry traditional Southern tastes with echoes of New Orleans and the Caribbean.
But the finished art at the Veranda is in the experience, much as a great novel is only complete when devoured by a reader. So we invite you to participate and feast in the details.
